Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Paver Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for safely and effectively repairing and servicing various types of asphalt equipment and vehicles, including pavers, rollers, loaders, attachments, plate compactors, seal tanks, crack fill melters, trailers, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to various locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to assist with repairs and diagnostics
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or the ability to acquire all endorsements
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and heavy equipment repair
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • Significant training in the mechanical field
  • Basic computer skills required (email, smartphone, Excel)
  • Impeccable communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and backgrounds
