POSITION SUMMARY
The main responsibility of an Assistant Branch Manager is to achieve outcomes in all outreach and collection initiatives. This primarily involves encouraging customers to engage with the office, either through visits or phone calls. The Assistant Branch Manager is equipped to undertake all responsibilities of the branch manager and oversee staff in the absence of the Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the Assistant Branch Manager is to prepare for higher management responsibilities. The organization considers all assistant managers as potential candidates for branch manager positions. Those who demonstrate exceptional performance in their current roles and have a solid understanding of Customer Service Representative and Manager functions will be prioritized for promotion.
Typically, the Assistant Branch Manager's responsibilities include completing assigned delinquent call tasks as directed by the manager. This position requires a high degree of initiative, as much of the work is performed independently. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Conducts telephone collection outreach to overdue customers and documents interactions for the branch manager.
- Modifies payment plans for customers experiencing temporary financial difficulties.
- Evaluates and documents the value of collateral at customer residences, providing written assessments and recommendations to the branch manager regarding loan amounts and terms.
- Assists with answering calls, processing customer payments, entering new and refinanced loans into the system, handling loan applications, and preparing correspondence related to refinancing and delinquency.
- Collaborates with the manager to organize, plan, and assign field visit tasks to assistants, while reviewing and documenting all completed fieldwork.
- Facilitates training and development sessions as instructed by the Manager and District Supervisor.
- Prepares weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Keeps daily records of delinquency reports generated by the system.
- Provides credit history information to authorized inquirers.
- Assists in maintaining performance standards in all areas of delinquency, loan volume, and growth objectives, along with adherence to company standards.
- It is the responsibility of branch personnel to consistently meet company production goals, which may necessitate working late hours and weekends as directed by the District Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in collections or the financial sector is advantageous. The Assistant Branch Manager should possess proficient computer skills and a willingness to travel or relocate as necessary. The candidate must be prepared to assume the next available managerial position in any location where an opening occurs.
EDUCATION
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
