Job SummaryWe are seeking a physiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, has excellent clinical skills, and is committed to education and scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities- Provide outpatient General Physiatry care within the M Health Fairview system, serving patients with a range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputee, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
- Work with the PM&R Medical Director/Division Director and leadership to build strong relationships with referring departments and units to maintain and strengthen the program.
- Participate in call coverage at the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (IRF) on a rotating basis.
- Provide cross-coverage of inpatient services for absences, as needed.
- Work with APPs and trainees in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Closing all patient encounters within eight calendar days.
The successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PM&R residency training program, be board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R), and be eligible to obtain a Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to manage change effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
