About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pitmaster/Meat Specialist to join our team at Jim 'N Nick's BBQ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop pit and meat operations team members to ensure high-quality smoked meats.
  • Monitor and manage the overall quality of smoked meats, maintaining the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Oversee food quality management, including training, proficiency in using smoker management tools, and adherence to safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ensure optimal food cost and minimize food waste through efficient inventory management and supply chain optimization.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Pitmaster or Meat Specialist in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and training skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong knowledge of meat cutting, trimming, and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
