The Judge Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead the technical services function and ensure process and product quality consistency with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for emerging, recommending, and applying a Plant Quality system to guarantee all products meet product quality and Safe Quality Food standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality system to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the technical services, sanitation, laboratory functions, and food safety of all shifts to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance to state, federal, and local regulations, and assure efficient and accurate testing, reporting, and monitoring of product safety and quality.
  • Develop and assist internal audits to determine and assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain systems for verifying and checking process compliance to provide production departments with tools necessary for daily operations.
  • Lead development and implementation of plant GMP, Hygiene, and Sanitation programs to ensure effective quality and food safety training for quality assurance and plant staff.
  • Direct the Plant Management Team on quality trends within the process and recommend proper corrective action.
  • Makes the annual budget for the QA department and facilitates the development of logical methods and sampling procedures as required.

Requirements:

  • BS degree required.
  • 5+ years of QA supervisory experience preferred.
  • SQF & HACCP certified.
  • Experience with FDA, USDA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Creative/analytical problem-solving skills and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
  • Team building skills and experience.
  • Microsoft office skills such as PowerPoint, Project Manager, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing plant sanitation programs.
