Job Title: Anesthesiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV.

About the Job

This is a full-time Anesthesiologist position with a 2-year contract, with options to extend. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Anesthesiology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia or clinically supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and post-anesthesia care
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Citizen of the United States
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • BLS, ACLS certification
  • DEA registration
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Ability to pass Government background security check
Work Environment

The Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility with 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites. The department is fully staffed with 3 CRNAs and 2 Anesthesiologists, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a competitive hourly rate, overtime pay, and additional reimbursement for lodging and rental car expenses. The VA Medical Center also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical malpractice insurance.
