Position Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading engineering operations at a significant wastewater management facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall administration of the treatment facility and related pumping stations.
  • Oversee the digital control systems and ensure their optimal performance.
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, ensuring effective training and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct independent research to enhance wastewater treatment efficiency.
  • Analyze operational data to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance and operation of digital process control systems.
  • Coordinate testing and calibration of analytical equipment.
  • Evaluate training needs and facilitate staff development.
  • Review and update operational procedures to maintain accurate records.
  • Compile data for regulatory reporting and compliance.
  • Review engineering plans and specifications for facility improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and manage contracts for services and materials.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Participate in long-term planning for facility operations and enhancements.
  • Administer safety programs and investigate incidents.

Work Environment
This role is situated within an industrial wastewater treatment setting, requiring a thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices related to water treatment and distribution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental or wastewater management, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma and 7 years in the field.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and necessary certifications.

Preferred Skills
Supervisory experience is advantageous.

Compensation
Salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience.
