We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the RoleAs an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:
- Conducting MRI exams and procedures with precision and accuracy
- Positioning patients and selecting appropriate imaging equipment and supplies
- Identifying and preparing pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure
- Applying the principles of MR safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
- Assisting physicians in performing procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy and attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Full vaccination against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or exemption for medical or personal reasons
