Job Title: Facilities Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. in Mentor, OH.

Job Summary:

This is a 1st shift position responsible for the proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated by the plant. The successful candidate will perform basic PM's on general plant utility equipment, operate a forklift on a routine basis, and assist in other plant maintenance work as required by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
  • Perform basic PM's on general plant utility equipment.
  • Operate a forklift on a routine basis to dispose of waste generated by the plant processes.
  • Remove and dispose of material stored in drums, hoppers, etc.
  • Assist in other plant maintenance work as required by the supervisor.
  • Repair and maintain other plant equipment as experience indicates.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in general maintenance of plant utility equipment.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Experience in handling non-hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste materials.
Working Conditions:

The incumbent must be able to physically and mentally perform the job demands, including handling high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines. The physical surroundings vary from pleasant to extreme as regards to temperature, work position, physical effort, and cleanliness.
