Direct Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Specialist to join our team at EIHAB Human Services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
This full-time/part-time position offers a competitive salary of $18.25 per hour and a flexible schedule with opportunities for overtime. Our ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

About the Role- Assist individuals with personal grooming and hygiene as needed.
- Prepare and eat meals with individuals, or cook entire meals as required.
- Teach, assist, or perform household maintenance tasks such as cleaning and shopping.
- Dispense medications or monitor self-medicating individuals, maintaining accurate documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Physical ability to assist individuals as needed, including lifting and transferring.
- Demonstrated ability to interact respectfully and dignifiedly with individuals.
- Verbal communication skills to maintain efficient operation of agency business.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions, complete training requirements, and maintain current employee physical examination.
This position is based in-person, with a flexible schedule that may include day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays. You will be working in residential living arrangements, assisting individuals with their daily needs and activities.
