Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners and other diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as required for CT procedures.
- Position patients for optimal image quality and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current ARRT registration and certification in CT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced CT registry in ARRT or CNMT.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
