Utah Transit Authority (UTA) is seeking a skilled Facilities Journeyman to maintain and repair the company's buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: facilities maintenance, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, or a related trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds
  • Use skilled trades to repair, build, or remodel physical structures
  • Install support equipment to physical structures, machinery, or system infrastructures
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general maintenance of all physical facilities and associated support equipment
  • Complete daily work orders
  • Operate company vehicles, trucks, vans, forklifts, lifting equipment, backhoes, snow removal equipment, and other equipment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of supervised work experience in one or more of the above-mentioned areas
  • Graduation from a UTA-approved trade program or completion of an apprenticeship program and obtaining a relevant license
  • Must pass a qualifying exam
  • Must own a complete set of standard hand tools
  • Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL driver's license by the end of the probationary period
  • Must have a valid Utah driver's license
  • Must be a safe driver with no more than two moving violations in the past three years
