About the Role

The Lead Cleaner is a key member of our facilities management team, responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of cleaners. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members, ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Relay communication between team members, clients, customers, and management, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date.
  • Report performance issues to the Supervisor, and work collaboratively to resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Assist with the training of new cleaning team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate work assignments and schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned buildings, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Manage security of keys and access cards for the property, ensuring that all team members have the necessary access and that security protocols are followed.
  • Report work orders for maintenance, and work with the facilities team to ensure that all repairs and maintenance are completed promptly.
  • Make sure premises are secured at all times, and that all team members are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Work with the Manager to schedule jobs with Property Managers and cleaning crews, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the quality of jobs and confirm completion with the Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Provide training to all new hires assigned to the building, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly, ensuring that all team members have the necessary resources to complete their tasks.
  • Complete order forms completely and accurately, and coordinate equipment usage and inventories.
