Job Overview

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is on the lookout for a Senior Materials Parts & Process (MP&P) Engineer to join our innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address complex challenges related to the specifications for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes utilized in product manufacturing and engineering design.
  • Represent the Company at technical committees to formulate and update industry standards.
  • Formulate strategies for standardization within the organization.
  • Lead the assessment of new technologies for their potential integration into business operations.
  • Set standards for the qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to fulfill requirements.
  • Oversee the integration of innovative technologies and establish supplier qualification standards.
  • Develop failure analysis methodologies tailored to specific requirements.
  • Coordinate comprehensive corrective and preventive measures.
  • Design new strategies and processes for data collection and analysis.
  • Utilize project management tools to achieve cost, technical, and scheduling objectives.
  • Incorporate principles of environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality into materials and processes, research, design, qualification, work procedures, and laboratory and office environments. Guide the organization in establishing technical vision, strategy, and objectives.
  • Establish influence across various business units, functions, supply chains, and global operations.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite presence at designated locations.

Export Control Compliance:

To comply with export control regulations, candidates must qualify as a "U.S. Person" as defined by applicable regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering or science-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management and self-directed project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or a regulated industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • 3+ years of experience with composites and/or composite manufacturing processes.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry program (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and generally 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Travel Requirements:

This role may involve travel up to 10% of the time.

Boeing offers a competitive Total Rewards package, including base pay and variable compensation opportunities, along with a variety of benefit programs.

Pay Range:

Summary Pay Range: USD $116,450 - $157,550
