Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and members of the campus community
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, online chats, and in-person inquiries
  • Act as a paraprofessional during New Student Welcome and interact with new students and family members
  • Teach students how to navigate resources and services, one-on-one and during group workshops
  • Participate in informational panels and presentations on advising issues and services
  • Serve on a student advisory board and recruitment board
  • Facilitate workshops to help students explore majors, registration, and other topics
  • Assist with Upward Bound quarterly newsletters and announcements
  • Perform administrative tasks, including making copies, filing, and sending/sorting mail and email
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Two years of general office experience required; three years preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and energy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
