Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Athletic Training Intern to join our team at Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. The successful candidate will support our Academy Athletic Trainer in providing day-to-day sports medicine operations to approximately 80 Colorado Rapids Academy players aged between 13 & 17 years of age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Academy Athletic Trainer in providing preventive care for Academy players.
  • Assist in evaluating injuries, providing treatment, and developing rehabilitation programs.
  • Maintain accurate medical records of player injuries, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming training room.
  • Provide player hydration at training and games.
  • Manage sports medicine inventory and budgetary items.
  • Prepare game sites for practice and competition.
  • Administer ImPACT concussion testing.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Typical Office Conditions
  • Lift 50 lbs. daily
  • Work in extreme weather conditions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. BS/BA degree in athletic training or related field like sports medicine
    2. High School or GED
    3. 2+ years' experience in field
    4. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    5. Please note: This position cannot work more than 29 hours per week.
    6. All Colorado Interns are required to attend all KSE Internship Program hosted events that occur during business hours. If unable to attend due to work, school or unforeseen circumstance, the Intern must inform the Internship Program Committee.
    7. All Interns are required to participate in the KSE Mentorship Program by meeting with assigned Mentor in person or virtually.
  • Preferred
    1. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Compensation:

  • Base hourly rate $18.29 per hour
