Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Olmsted Medical. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Identify patients and review requisitions to ensure accurate imaging procedures.
- Record pertinent data on radiological requisitions and maintain accurate documentation.
- Screen patients for contrast media and review patient history to assist radiologists with proper protocoling.
- Perform daily QC requirements and document results.
- Assist with CT accreditation process and assess patient condition to ensure safety.
- Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate results to supervisors and patients.
- Coordinate radiographic examinations to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
- Use computer systems to document patient information and ensure accurate billing.
- Perform "file librarian" and "transporter" responsibilities as needed.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and notify supervisors when stock is low.
- Adhere to radiation safety procedures and prepare and administer contrast media as needed.
- Review laboratory results to ensure safe administration of contrast media.
- Document and perform venipuncture with high accuracy.
- Chart and deliver radiology reports to medical stations or clinicians with 100% accuracy.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program.
- Licensed by the ARRT and in good standing with CE's.
- Registered by the ARRT in CT or registered within 18 months of being trained in CT.
- 50% of shifts need to be in CT.
- Prior experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Displays a good understanding of age-related developmental issues.
