Mammography Position - Part-Time (0.5 FTE)

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Current ARRT licensure in good standing with continuing education credits
  • Completion of a digital mammography course
  • Completion of a tomosynthesis training
  • Registered in Mammography or willing to obtain registration
  • BLS certification
  • Strong understanding of breast anatomy and imaging techniques

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identity using name and date of birth.
  • Examine each patient's requisition thoroughly.
  • Discuss patient history with the individual.
  • Communicate any significant changes in patient history to the radiologist.
  • Evaluate patient condition to ensure safety during procedures.
  • Review exams for technical precision.
  • Ensure proper anatomical orientation and image identification.
  • Utilize the computer system for accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Explain procedures to patients to enhance cooperation and reduce anxiety.
  • Monitor inventory and alert the appropriate personnel when supplies are low.
  • Consistently uphold radiation safety protocols for oneself and others.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
