Job Summary

As a key member of the Comcast Corporation sales team, the Strategic Enterprise Account Executive - Business Development will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion for Comcast's High Capacity Ethernet Networks, Internet, Video, and Voice-based services to national and multi-national enterprise corporations and complex enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire, develop, and manage strategic prospective clients in designated territories.
  • Design and deliver live sales presentations to prospective strategic clients, develop relationships with clients and the community, and position the Comcast brand as a key component of the sales strategy.
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Comcast Business Services in the marketplace.
  • Actively research and generate new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships.
  • Retain customer base by delivering on the Comcast credo, ensuring a superior customer experience, and maintaining and building customer relationships to drive customer retention.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed customer expectations through strong customer service orientation and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Maintain accurate and quality sales records and prepare sales and activity reports as required.
  • Attend out-of-the-office meetings with customers on a regular basis and demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills, as well as presenting, persuading, and negotiating skills.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of coursework and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of network design, MAN technologies, and designs, including DSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet, Internet Technologies, Functionality & Services, Voice Network Technologies (including VoIP), Data Networking Technologies, Functionality & Services (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN), Networking Protocols (with an emphasis on Layers 1, 2, & 3), Customer Premise Equipment (voice & data), Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts, and E-rate Contracting Processes and Procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
