This position is crucial within our organization, as the selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Company President. The System Manager will spearhead the implementation and upgrade of systems across our global network of companies.
Position Overview: This is primarily a remote role with hybrid flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the upcoming re-implementation of the legacy software, overseeing configuration, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to guarantee the successful deployment of ERP and related systems.
- Diagnose ERP issues by conducting diagnostics, documenting challenges and solutions, prioritizing issues, and evaluating their impact.
- Provide comprehensive documentation and technical specifications for managing existing infrastructure and planning for new IT upgrades.
- Oversee user setup, including system access and necessary administrative functions.
- Resolve ERP-related software, hardware, and user access issues efficiently.
- Manage ERP software and consulting/support vendors to ensure optimal system performance.
- Conduct installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of regular system updates.
- Assess the best hosting solutions for ERP, including capacity determination, storage planning, and database performance evaluation.
- Create system support documentation for ERP, allowing others to reference the manual for necessary tasks.
- Facilitate ongoing user development and training.
- Analyze user requirements and procedures to enhance or automate existing systems.
- Collaborate with external IT services to maintain stable connectivity across all networked computers and oversee disaster recovery protocols.
- Modify security files and applications as necessary to provide specialized access or to correct errors.
The successful candidate will engage directly with the Company President on these essential projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with upgrades, implementations, or re-implementations is essential.
- 3-5 years of experience as a System Specialist or Administrator.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Proficient in record-keeping and file management.
- Due to the security nature of this position, candidates must successfully pass a background check.
