About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to join our team at the University of Utah. As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our business operations by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and clean data from various sources to aid in business decision-making.
  • Assist in optimizing and automating data pipelines to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create automated processes to audit data quality and identify anomalies.
  • Utilize GIT repository to store and manage production code.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as needed to support business operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalency required.
  • Two years of related experience and expertise in MS Office software required.
  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
  • Database experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may be preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Meaningful progress toward a degree in business, statistics, information systems, or a related field.
  • Talent for detail-oriented analysis and ability to think critically, abstractly, and theoretically.
  • Experience and/or interest in geospatial analytics and visualizations, data mining, big data, machine learning, and healthcare strategy.
