We are seeking a highly qualified Teaching Assistant Professor to join our rapidly growing undergraduate program in Neuroscience at West Virginia University. This is a 9-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position with an expected start date of August 1, 2024.
Key Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester, including research methods and foundational neuroscience courses.
- Advise undergraduate neuroscience majors.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our undergraduate program in Neuroscience.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in neuroscience, psychology, cellular/molecular biology, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of, or ability related to, undergraduate mentorship and advising.
- A dynamic and supportive academic environment.
