As a Research Assistant Professor, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and clinicians to advance the field of orthopaedics. You will be responsible for conducting bench research on the synthesis and testing of advanced biomaterials, as well as assisting in data management and the efficient operation of the laboratory. Additionally, you will be responsible for grant proposal generation, manuscript preparation and submission, symposia presentations, work in progress seminars, and mentoring of students.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree (MD, PhD or MD/PhD) and some postdoctoral research experience is preferred. Experience in grant writing and mentoring students is also preferred. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential for this role. You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office software as well as statistical software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, SPSS, SAS).
