Welcome to the Department of Orthopaedics at West Virginia University School of Medicine. We are seeking a highly skilled hand surgeon to join our team as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO degree, be eligible for state medical license, and have completed orthopaedic surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship. Board certification/eligibility in Orthopaedic surgery is also required.
Our hand service includes four full-time orthopaedic hand faculty, and our goal is to provide expertise in all sub-specialty areas of Orthopaedics. We emphasize more than surgical expertise - our mission is to provide excellence in patient care and customer service in the delivery of that care.
As a part of a major academic teaching center, we use a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and education of our patients. Our physicians have easy access to a full range of specialists and a variety of opinions, including orthopaedic sub-specialists and experts from the WVU Spine Center.
