Role Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Medical Assistant Coordinator to oversee the Medical Assistant team, ensuring efficient patient flow within treatment and examination areas. This role involves coordinating daily assignments and managing the scheduling of Medical Assistants to support our healthcare providers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor Medical Assistants, conducting performance evaluations and facilitating onboarding for new staff.
  • Manage daily operations and workflows, ensuring optimal staffing and patient care.
  • Assist in patient care activities, including vital signs, assessments, and various medical procedures.
  • Monitor physician schedules to address coverage needs and assign appropriate personnel.
  • Uphold compliance with ethical standards and business practices within the organization.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift patients and handle medical equipment. Candidates should be prepared for prolonged periods of standing and walking, with the capability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a medical assistant or nursing role.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Phlebotomy certification and current CPR certification are required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
