We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Banner McKee in Loveland, CO. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing waived and non-waived tests in an accurate and timely manner, with supervision. You will also assist with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing in an accurate and timely manner, according to established policies and performance standards.
- Recognize and ensure the validity of abnormal patient and/or QC results for testing.
- Ensure the appropriate use of supplies and materials, and assist with inventory management.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Process and prepare patient samples as required, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience.
- MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology is required.
