We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Technician I to join our team at American States Utility Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to water and wastewater system maintenance, including water quality and supply management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater systems, including water mains, services, meters, and fire hydrants.
- Inspect and repair sewer lines, lateral cleanouts, manholes, and collection mains.
- Operate video equipment to inspect sewer lines and identify system deficiencies.
- Respond to service orders and mark water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with the public in a professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must obtain state required water and/or wastewater training permits within 90 days if applicable.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's Permit and License within six months and one year of hire date, respectively.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme weather conditions, and areas exposed to noise and chemicals.
