We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at PathForward.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
About the Role
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide initial evaluations of individuals experiencing mental illness and/or substance abuse. This role requires a licensed professional counselor or licensed clinical social worker with a minimum of 2 years of successful licensure in Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Behavioral Health Services: The LCSW will provide behavioral health consultation services to the medical team and Social Workers who serve both shelter clients and clients in PathForward's Housing Program.
- Conduct Mental Health Evaluations: Conduct initial mental health evaluations for clients with mental illness who do not meet the severe mentally ill criteria but would benefit from psychotherapy.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Develop realistic treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
- Crisis Assessments and Interventions: Conduct crisis assessments/triage with appropriate interventions to ensure the well-being of clients.
Requirements
- Licensure and Experience: Current Licensure in Virginia as LCSW or LPC with minimum of 2 years of successful licensure and in good standing.
- Clinical Skills: Good clinical understanding of adult mental health, diagnosis in the DSM 5, and various behavioral therapy modalities.
- Educational Requirements: A valid driver's license is required.
