Job Title: Acquisition Logistician
Job Overview:
The Acquisition Logistician plays a crucial role in the development and management of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements. This includes addressing design interfaces, sustaining engineering, maintenance, manpower, supply support, training, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, technical data, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating and documenting logistics strategies, including:
- Acquisition Strategy Plans
- Life Cycle Sustainment Plans
- Performance Work Statements
- Item Unique Identification Plans
- Training Plans
- Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation Plans
- Maintenance Plans
- Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)
- Providing logistical input for the preparation and coordination of documentation required for program reviews, milestone decisions, budget submissions, cost estimates, and risk evaluations.
- Analyzing metrics that impact performance indicators such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Operational Availability, and Maintenance Cost per Hour.
- Identifying and developing logistics budget requirements, including transportation, training, manpower, and maintenance.
- Reviewing and updating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) studies and program documentation across various domains, including supply, maintenance, and data management.
- Tracking equipment and managing logistics actions as necessary.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in preparing and editing Department of Defense (DOD) technical documents.
- Proven background in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis of complex systems.
- Experience in Acquisition Logistics support for various programs is preferred.
Clearance:
Active Secret clearance is required.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field with ten years of relevant experience, including five years in acquisition logistics.
- A Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with twelve years of relevant experience, including seven years in acquisition logistics, may substitute for a Master's Degree.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model with a combination of onsite and remote work.
