Under the guidance of the Program and Project Supervisor within the Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives Division's Rebates and Incentives Unit, the Energy Commission Specialist III will act as the principal authority on various technical and analytical functions related to building decarbonization and engagement with tribal communities. This role will involve leading efforts in program development and execution. The specialist will conduct sensitive and intricate analyses that necessitate a high level of judgment and expertise. The position entails managing projects that require collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The initiatives overseen by the specialist are vital to the mission of the Energy Commission, addressing significant national challenges such as climate change.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate how they meet the minimum qualifications outlined for this classification. Submissions must clearly indicate qualifications; failure to do so may result in disqualification from consideration.
Work Environment:
The California Energy Commission promotes a hybrid work model, accommodating both office-based and remote employees. While in-person attendance may be limited, occasional travel may be necessary based on the division's requirements. Consistent attendance is crucial for effective performance. This position is primarily remote, requiring the incumbent to work from an alternate location for at least 50% of their time. Travel may be necessary for attending meetings or events at headquarters, with associated costs borne by the employee.
