We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to join our team in the College of Arts and Sciences. This is a full-time, regular position that requires a strong background in administrative support and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the College of Arts and Sciences, including tasks related to accounting and budgeting.
- Collaborate with the business and finance office to ensure accurate and timely budgetary matters.
- Track budgets, monitor expenditures, and perform basic bookkeeping functions.
- Assist with the preparation of college and department budgets for upcoming fiscal years.
- Purchase and maintain supplies for staff and faculty as needed.
- Research potential purchases and provide recommendations to the appropriate department.
- Support the coordination of student workers within the College.
- Assist faculty and staff with contract preparation and planning.
- Assist with expense and travel reimbursements.
- Review and correct data, records, and information for the college.
- Ensure accurate documentation is provided in accordance with applicable accounting, contract, and grant requirements.
- 60 credits or more of higher education or equivalent work experience and training.
- 3 years of administrative support experience or comparable experience.
- Previous accounting or budgetary administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience with MaineStreet and Concur systems is a plus.
