Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Member Services Representative to join our team at Planet Fitness. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an outstanding "Judgement Free" member experience.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:
- Greet members and guests with a warm and welcoming smile, providing exceptional customer service and making everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Check members in, tour, and sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, exceeding their expectations.
- Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point-to-sale system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address, and billing or payment questions.
- Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Go above and beyond to keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly, maintaining a clean and safe environment for members and guests.
- Regularly clean and maintain the facility, including mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
- Regularly clean and maintain all exercise equipment and tanning beds, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Regularly clean and maintain restrooms and wet areas, ensuring they are clean and stocked.
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment based on satisfactory outcome.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding member expectations.
- Prior customer service experience preferred, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older, with an upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are a must, with the ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required time frames.
