About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recertification / Occupancy Specialist to join our team at Related Affordable. As a key member of our leasing operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our affordable housing community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments and maintain tracking systems for initial lease ups, renewals, annual recertifications, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain neat, accurate, and organized paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Prepare and send preliminary applicant notices for lease ups.
  • Assist staff with preparation and distribution of lease renewals and recertification documents.
  • Provide front desk reception coverage in the office, including answering questions and concerns professionally and expeditiously.
  • Assist staff with handling all applicant/resident questions and concerns.
  • Provide general support to office staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in managing affordable housing properties with HUD Project-Based Section 8 and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with RealPage OneSite is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
