Job Title: Investment Team Portfolio Manager

TEDCO is seeking a highly skilled Investment Team Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Investment Team, you will play a critical role in developing and building the culture of our Investment Funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visibility into portfolio companies to maximize their value and leverage the Maryland entrepreneurial ecosystem to accelerate their growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio founders, providing best-in-class support and connecting them with key contacts, suppliers, and resources.
  • Monitor the performance of investments and provide advice on potential resources for the companies.
  • Support the Chief Investment Officer in prioritizing tasks and attending calls/meetings as needed.
  • Manage daily/weekly project management, status tracking, and updates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners, including suppliers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (science, technology) is required; M.B.A. is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in an early-stage venture capital firm, with a strong background in startup operations or supporting growth businesses.
  • Operating Partner experience, demonstrated through a personal deal sheet.
  • Strong understanding of finance, risk-management, and investing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals across key organizations and programs.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and respond to market conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and relational database software, such as Excel and Access.
