Position Overview

HiFyve is seeking a Welding Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector.

Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 annually

Work Schedule: Day Shift

Location: St. Louis, MO (relocation assistance available)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide essential production support for the welding division under the guidance of the Plant Manager.
  • Design and develop welding fixtures, establish welding process specifications, and create programming and equipment specifications for various welding techniques, including Mig, Tig, spot, and flash welding.
  • Assist in additional aspects of tube fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Evaluate and resolve quality and process control challenges in current production operations, offering direction to address issues.
  • Implement new methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency within the welding division.
  • Design, develop, and analyze technical processes and systems to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Procure and design fixtures for the welding division while enhancing existing welding procedures.
  • Document advancements in welding processes and ensure effective communication and implementation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges to ensure seamless operations.
  • Recommend modifications to processes to improve quality and efficiency, aiming for optimal utilization of personnel and workspace.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to assist production and maintenance teams.
  • Set up machinery and inspect parts during production to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to source necessary materials and services.
  • Support Sales and Project Managers by aiding in sales presentations and customer engagements.
  • Uphold and promote company objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain professional conduct when interacting with supervisors, colleagues, and production staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure product quality aligns with company standards, preventing defects that could lead to losses or penalties.
  • Manage business interactions with internal and external stakeholders, requiring resourcefulness, diplomacy, and a solid understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Safeguard confidential information related to manufacturing processes, patents, and other sensitive data in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a four-year degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • At least two years of experience with robotic Mig welding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing techniques.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Effective time and material management to ensure timely delivery of quality parts to customers.
  • Proficient in analyzing and independently resolving process-related issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to maintain effective business relationships with other departments and clients.
