Oncology Clinical Research Nurse Position

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Cancer Center. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing research coordination for assigned oncology studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review study protocols and become familiar with all study requirements
  • Communicate and make arrangements with various areas of Augusta University involved in the study
  • Setup studies according to sponsor requirements and IRB policies
  • Complete all reports, including the annual study continuation report required by IRB
  • Assess patient's general health and accurately report all adverse events within required time frame to sponsor and IRB
  • Schedule patient visits, laboratory tests and procedures, and dispense investigational drugs per protocol and AU requirements
  • Recruit subjects and screen patients for inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Help maintain all FDA and sponsor required regulatory documents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with a minimum of three years of clinical experience in a specialized area
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCLS certification
