Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at CMCI. As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will play a critical role in coordinating, executing, and managing cybersecurity assessment & authorization (A&A) related activities supporting hardware, software, and connectivity capabilities in support of mission and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of threats and vulnerabilities; determine deviations from acceptable configurations, enterprise, or local policy; Assess the level of risk; and develop and/or recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and nonoperational situations.
  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain security controls of information systems such that security risks are managed consistent with DHS and business and mission objectives, and the overall risk strategy established by the Risk Executive and Authorizing Official.
  • Verify and validate the information security readiness of information systems and services of third parties in accordance with the requirements of DHS 4300A and Class Deviation 15-01 from the Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation: Safeguarding Sensitive Information.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Information Security / Cyber Security or related technical field
  • Experience as an ISSO with DHS 4300A implementation
  • 5+ years of IT/security-related experience with recent ISSO experience
  • Practical knowledge of client, server, data storage, and networking technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot, assess root cause, and resolve technical issues
  • Sec+/CASP/CISSP certification
  • Prior experience with SIEM tools
