Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information System Security Officer to join our team at Peraton. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day implementation, oversight, and maintenance of security configurations, practices, and procedures for our Information Systems (IS).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation and operation of selected security controls throughout the IS lifecycle

• Develop and maintain system security documentation, including plans of action and milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities

• Conduct vulnerability scans and manage the risks to ISs and other assets by coordinating correction or mitigation actions

• Monitor security controls to maintain security Authorized to Operate (ATO) and upload security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application

• Ensure changes to an IS, its environment, and/or operational needs that may affect the authorization status are reported to the system owner and IS Security Manager (ISSM)

Requirements

• Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; minimum of 6 years with a MS/MA; minimum of 3 years with a PhD

• Possess DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III Baseline Certification

• Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification

• Must possess an active, or have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date, an ITIL Foundations Certification
