JOB TITLE: Restaurant Server

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional service to patrons in the dining area. This role involves collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests while maintaining a positive work atmosphere. The Restaurant Server works in close coordination with kitchen personnel and customers to fulfill these responsibilities.

REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Management

WAGE: Hourly Non-Exempt plus tips

SUPERVISES: N/A
  • DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Deliver outstanding customer service to restaurant guests.
  2. Ensure compliance with Trex Mart policies and procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively with all team members.
  4. Adapt to changes efficiently and manage additional tasks as needed, maintaining flexibility in daily routines.
  5. Support the mission statement of Trex Mart.
  6. Provide quick and friendly service to customers.
  7. Engage in effective communication with all patrons.
  8. Follow all product preparation guidelines.
  9. Prepare backup items using the appropriate equipment.
  10. Understand the preparation and presentation of all menu items.
  11. Operate all equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  12. Handle cash and payment processing responsibly.
  13. Comply with all Trex Mart and local health and safety regulations regarding food handling.
  14. Practice proper hand hygiene.
  15. Utilize gloves correctly.
  16. Ensure all food items are maintained within safe temperature ranges.
  17. Store food items appropriately based on type.
  18. Label opened and prepared food products with dates and times.
  19. Conduct daily evaluations of food items to discard any that are outdated.
  20. Accurately record temperatures of food items on designated logs at least once per shift.
  21. Implement corrective actions for any food items that fall within the temperature danger zone.
  22. Adhere to uniform standards.
  23. Perform all required tasks on the POS system accurately.
  24. Utilize the time clock to record work hours properly.
  25. Complete shift paperwork accurately.
  26. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors.
  27. Execute all cleaning tasks assigned to the position.
  28. Participate in store meetings.
  29. Empty trash bins as necessary.
  30. Make necessary food adjustments.
  31. Other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to engage in prolonged physical activity, including walking and carrying trays.
  2. Requires physical strength to lift at least 50 lbs. and to push or pull heavy items.
  3. Involves occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and using step stools.
  4. Some travel may be required.
SALARY:

$6.50 per hour plus tips.
