Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

Oversees all electrical installation and maintenance activities, while providing guidance and supervision to assigned personnel. Contributes to the mission and objectives of the organization through the effective management of electrical systems within a correctional environment. Conducts routine and emergency maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of existing electrical infrastructure.

Key Duties Include:

  • Performing advanced electrical tasks related to the setup, repair, and upkeep of electrical systems.
  • Utilizing the Total Maintenance System (TMS) for tracking maintenance and inventory.
  • Responding to urgent service requests as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by coursework in electrical technology. Significant experience in the electrical field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with standard electrical practices, equipment installation and maintenance, electrical regulations, and supervisory principles. Proficiency in using tools and instruments essential for electrical work. Proven ability to repair and install electrical systems, manage teams, and accurately assess project needs.

Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or vocational training is highly desirable. Experience in multiple trades is a plus. Preference will be given to licensed electricians.
