We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities- Tutoring and Academic Support: Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to students in chemistry and other related subjects.
- Needs Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify areas where students require additional support and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Student Guidance and Development: Guide students in developing effective learning strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions.
- Classroom Support: Assist students in understanding key concepts, review classroom topics, and provide support with homework, projects, and test preparation.
- Progress Tracking and Goal Setting: Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and help set goals for exam preparation.
- Communication and Feedback: Provide students with positive and constructive feedback to help them improve their academic performance.
- Education: Associate's Degree or above from a regionally accredited institution in the content area (or closely related field) being tutored.
