Clinical Pharmacy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Director to join our Medical Management/Health Services team at Centene Corporation. As a clinical professional, you will play a critical role in developing, directing, and implementing a pharmacy benefit management program that aligns with our corporate strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Vision and Planning: Establish the strategic vision, objectives, and policies for the pharmacy program, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Program Development and Implementation: Plan, direct, and implement pharmacy activities, including the development and implementation of key contracts with vendors.
- Contract Administration: Act as the pharmacy contract administrator, ensuring that relevant performance standards are met by vendors.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes, grievances, and complaints involving pharmacy program issues.
- Accreditation and Compliance: Participate in external accreditation initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key vendors, including pharmacy benefit management companies and pharmaceutical companies.
- Provider Education: Support provider education initiatives, such as counter detailing and incentive programs.
- Financial Management: Manage and analyze operating costs, participate in preparing the annual budget, and review and analyze reports, records, and directives.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis of data related to assigned work function and prepare reports and records on data and work function activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (PharmD., M.S) in pharmacy.
- Experience: 3+ years of clinical pharmacy care experience and 3+ years of recent contracting, quality improvement, and management experience in a healthcare environment, preferably managed care.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current state's Pharmacist license and ability to receive license in additional states as required.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
