Key Responsibilities

The Culinary Operations Supervisor works closely with the Owner to establish and maintain financial, food quality, and cleanliness objectives. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless daily operations, enabling the team to meet established goals. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage varying sales and preparation volumes across multiple food service units, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring team satisfaction.

Essential DutiesFood Safety & Sanitation
  • Uphold standards in stocking, organization, labeling, and cleanliness of kitchen areas.
  • Address and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Food Quality & Consistency
  • Ensure freshness and proper temperature control of food items.
  • Train staff on portioning, packaging, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor team performance to meet acceptable service times.
  • Utilize station setups and inventory sheets to manage preparation levels.
  • Execute precise ordering and inventory management.
Team Management
  • Schedule and manage labor in accordance with operational volume.
  • Train team members to meet established standards.
  • Communicate daily objectives and adapt plans as necessary.
  • Ensure team members are equipped for success at their respective stations.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new staff.
Communication
  • Set clear expectations for team performance.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to guide team success and recognize achievements.
  • Communicate menu changes and specials to the team and front-of-house managers.
  • Maintain open dialogue regarding any issues with management and team members.
Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, with a minimum of three years in kitchen leadership.
  • Understanding of basic kitchen equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.
