With a dedicated workforce of approximately 30,000 employees, we ensure the efficient transportation of our clients' shipments across air and sea. Our logistics offerings encompass the entire supply chain, from production facilities to retail environments, including specialized transport services.
As an Air Export Agent, your primary responsibility will be managing the logistics of our clients' air export shipments. You will serve as the central point of contact for outbound air export operations, overseeing the process from initial customer engagement to the final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and confirm timely bookings with airlines on behalf of customers.
- Prepare export documentation, ensuring compliance with international regulations and country-specific requirements.
- Generate necessary documents such as Certificates of Origin, Cargo Manifests, NAFTA Certificates, AWBs, ITAR documentation, Hazardous Material declarations, Perishable goods documentation, and any other required paperwork.
- Accurately file AES (Automated Export System) submissions with U.S. Customs.
- Ensure timely completion of export documents while coordinating with customers, warehouses, airlines, gateway operations, and dispatch teams for effective cargo movement.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers and international offices regarding shipment status.
- Track airline departure information and provide updates as necessary.
- Oversee file-level profitability and ensure accuracy in charge audits before submission to accounting.
- Confirm payment responsibilities based on terms and verify credit status when required.
- Maintain accurate and updated customer profiles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements:
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the logistics or freight forwarding sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with Logis Air / Cargo Wise systems is advantageous.
- Hazmat certification is a plus.
