Job Summary

Quest Financial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and distribution of financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and providing guidance to accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries to various ledgers, maintaining a log of prepared entries.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and inventory balances, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Update, create, and maintain various reports and spreadsheets, providing insights to management.
  • Assist accounting staff with partner cost and revenue sharing for sales transactions and other projects.
  • Prepare schedules and reconciliations for annual audit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable balances, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee the processing of system transactions by clerical staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and execute process improvement initiatives, working closely with the VP of Finance.
  • Provide on-going training and support to staff, employees, and managers, ensuring understanding of accounting guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist with process mapping and other financial requirements for ERP system implementation.
  • Serve as group lead for special projects, ensuring successful completion and implementation.
Requirements
  • Completion of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Significant ERP systems experience, preferably JD Edwards, NetSuite, or SAP Business One.
  • Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office applications skills, including Power BI reporting.
  • Excellent written, oral, and facilitation skills, with ability to articulate detailed information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work with and influence people in a professional and positive setting, with a high level of integrity and honesty.
