Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Martin North Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to new mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective communication and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist new mothers and newborns with their transition home, providing educational instructions and support during their stay.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and discharge planning.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Within one year of hire, RNs in Labor and Delivery must achieve and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • 1-2 years of current full-time hospital unit L&D RN experience.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to obtain a BSN within the first three years of employment if not already held.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Can critically think and problem-solve for patients' best interests.
  • Effectively handles stressful situations.
  • Is eager to learn and take on challenges.
  • Experience with deliveries per month.
