Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional I to join our team at the Abbeville Clinic. As a Mental Health Professional I, you will provide mental health services to seriously mentally ill adults and children, adolescents, and their families. You will be responsible for assessing, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. You will also maintain accurate medical records and ensure each patient has a LOC established and updated quarterly.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services in a culturally competent manner, including assessment, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy to seriously mentally ill adults and children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure each patient has a LOC established and updated quarterly.
  • Ensure caseload standards are met.
  • Participate in Center's emergency/crisis services by providing telephonic and/or face-to-face contact, to include screenings, assessments of persons for possible hospitalization.
  • Participate as an active member of the clinical team, including supervisory meetings, staffings, treatment team meetings, and administrative meetings.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or a related field.
  • Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by DMH Office of Quality Management.
