Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough evaluations of assigned pediatric patients in alignment with established care standards.
  • Designs and implements treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient, adhering to best practices.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of services rendered in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Participates in mandatory safety training and articulates responsibilities related to safety and job-specific hazards.
  • Adheres to hospital exposure control protocols regarding bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
  • Exhibits respect and consideration for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and colleagues to foster a professional and courteous environment.
  • Encourages collaborative working relationships and contributes effectively as part of a departmental team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Keeps professional licensure current and submits proof of status to the supervisor/manager within two weeks of any updates.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Successful completion of a clinical internship is mandatory.
  • Prior clinical or rehabilitation experience is preferred.
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan is required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is preferred upon hire.

Work Environment

This position is full-time, primarily during daytime hours, with a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, including every weekend.
