Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering pertinent health information.
- Perform laboratory procedures, such as strep tests and wound cultures, using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice clinicians with procedures, such as pelvic exams and allergy testing.
- Administer medications, under physician or APC orders, which may include immunizations, antibiotics, and topical agents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth clinic flow and provide accurate information.
- LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license issued by the state and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Medical Assistant: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant or 2 years of verifiable experience as a Medical Assistant.
