Job Summary

TIER4 GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Services team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network equipment and data center asset inventory, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain network equipment and data center asset inventory, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Coordinate shipping of network equipment to field offices and decommission returned hardware.
  • Provide 'remote hands' support to data center customers, resolve support tickets, and offer Level-One network troubleshooting.
  • Test, clean, and maintain fiber and copper cables; replace SFPs as necessary.
  • Oversee installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems and manage inventory of cabling materials.
  • Quote, order, and manage materials for data center expansions, ensuring the availability of resources.
  • Perform rack and stack of IT hardware and maintain accurate documentation through the DCIM system (Netterrain).
  • Monitor facility systems, respond to abnormal conditions, and collaborate with the CEE team when necessary.
